Calumet County Residents Warned After Mail Reported Stolen

HARRISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Authorities in Calumet County are cautioning residents after reports of missing mail from mailboxes.

Deputies say over the past few weeks, residents on Lakeshore Drive and Faro Springs Rd. in the village of Harrison have reported stolen mail. Some victims say they noticed checks were missing and later fraudulently cashed.

While authorities are investigating these thefts, they say if you placed outgoing checks or mail in your mailbox, verify they made it to the intended destination and checks were appropriately cashed.
