ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The holidays are over, and people in Allouez are already looking ahead. They’re doing it by trading in their Christmas tree.
The village is having a Christmas tree exchange program.
People are allowed to discard their tree at the LeBrun Yard Waste Site in exchange for a tree seedling–which you can pick up at Village Hall in May.
“This program helps assist our public works department, fewer trees they have to pick up curbside. So we really appreciate the residents that bring their trees to the yard waste site here,” said Chris Clark, Director of Allouez’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department.
If you didn’t drop off your tree today, you can do it next Saturday from 11 to 1.
