GREEN LAKE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two suspects in a sexual assault case were convicted and sentenced.
Esler Rivera pleaded guilty to exposing a genitals to a child, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, court records show.
Noe Bautista-Martinez pleaded no contest to third-degree sexual assault, and was sentenced to 389 days in jail. A count of child enticement was dismissed.
Deputies say in November 2019, they found a juvenile runaway on the side of the road. The girl told authorities she escaped from a residence where she was being sex trafficked. Her age was not released.
Six men, all believed to be undocumented immigrants from Guatemala, were arrested.
Ember Rivera and Rolando Corado Gonzalez were previously sentenced to 18 months in prison.
The cases for two men charged in the Green Lake sexual assault case were moved to federal court, where they and others faces sex trafficking charges.
Julio Cesar Veleta Veleta, Evis Amabilio Garcia Rivera, Avelino Sarceno Sarceno, Abilio Corado Gonzalez, Samuel Nelis Martinez Corado, Oscar Romeo Martinez Corado are awaiting trial in federal court.
