MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)– The seven-day COVID-19 case rate rose slightly on Sunday.
The DHS is reporting 3,831 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday after 5,033 cases were reported Saturday.
After the DHS reported a record-breaking 53% positivity rate on Saturday, Sunday’s rate is at 40% after 9,511 total test results were reported by the DHS.
The seven-day case rate increased to 4,289 Sunday after a downward trend between November 21 and 28.
Health officials are reporting 22 new COVID-19 related deaths Sunday for as the total rises to 3,307.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there have been 2,528,491 people tested, 384,701 positive cases, and 2,143,790 negative test results.
The DHS considers 311,438 patients to be recovered from the novel coronavirus and reports 69,894 active cases of the disease.
There are currently six patients at the alternate care facility at Wisconsin State Fair Park, two less than the DHS reported on Saturday.
