OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh Police are investigating two separate Friday shootings.
The department says officers were dispatched shortly before 3:30 p.m. to a report of several gunshots in the area of Scott Avenue and Central Street on the city’s east side. No victims nor any damage was discovered in that case and police are still looking for any suspects.
Officers were again dispatched shortly before 6:30 p.m. to a report of multiple gunshots in the 700 block of Woodland Avenue near the UW-Oshkosh campus.
Witnesses said the shooting resulted from a dispute between two groups of people, and police don’t believe there is a threat to the public.
Police also don’t believe the incident was related to the previous one.
