Andrew Clark (Winnebago County Sheriff's Office)
OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — Winnebago County Sheriff’s Officials have identified the man they say killed two people in the town of Omro last Wednesday.
Sheriff John Matz told media on Wednesday that 52-year-old Andrew Clark, who reported the crime to police, allegedly shot 36-year-old Melissa Motz, previous identified as Melissa Clark, and 40-year-old Lavar Wallace following a dispute over money. Clark was taken into custody on unrelated matters shortly after the killings occurred.
Last week, 33-year-old Michael Draine was also charged in the crime for helping Clark attempt to establish an alibi and destroy evidence by setting fire to Clark’s home, where the murders occurred. Draine turned himself in to law enforcement.
Sheriffs deputies on scene located Wallace in the living room of the home, and Motz in a nearby bedroom. Both had been shot to death. Numerous rags and other materials, coated in gasoline or some other fire accellerant, were also found. A melted candle was allegedly used as the fuse.
