APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Theodore Givings was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison for his role in providing prostitution services.
Givings, 36, was also placed on extended supervision for ten years by Outagamie County Judge Mark McGinnis.
Before sentencing, Givings pledged to stay sober, blaming his actions on drugs and alcohol. Prosecutors recommended 10-to-12 years in prison, while Givings’ attorney requested three years in prison.
Givings was arrested after trying to lure a minor into prostitution, and worked prostituting another female. He previously pleaded no contest to one count of human trafficking, while a count of trafficking a child was dismissed.
