GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Hospital Sisters Health System announced Tuesday its restricting visitors at its Eastern Wisconsin hospitals in an effort to further control the spread of COVID-19.
Effective Thursday, no visitors will be allowed in hospital inpatient units.
Effected hospitals include HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, children’s hospital and medical center in Green Bay, St. Nichalas Hospital in Sheboygan and St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.
There are exceptions for the following circumstances:
- Women and infants may have one support person and one doula as part of their care team
- Pediatric inpatients under age 18 may have two parents or guardians present
- HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital NICU patients may have two parents within one unit, but visitation is limited to one parent at the bedside at a time
- All patients nearing end-of-life will have special arrangements
- Emergency department adult patients may have one approved visitor for the duration of the stay
- Emergency department pediatric patients have have two parents or guardians present
All approved visitors must be over 18 years old and screened for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure upon arrival, according to HSHS.
Family members of patients who have concerns or questions are encouraged to contact the patient’s hospital.
