TOWN OF EATON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Lisa Kraszewski has a week to report to court officials before a warrant for her arrest is issued on animal and child neglect charges.
Kraszewski, 38, faces 20 misdemeanor charges because of the conditions inside a town of Eaton home.
A competency exam was ordered more than a year ago, but she has not met with the psychiatrist to complete it. She also failed to appear for a court hearing Thursday.
Judge John Zakowski gave her attorneys a week to contact her or for her to appear. If not, a bench warrant will become active on Oct. 22.
The complaint shows Kraszewski had an expired 2017 dog kennel license for 13 dogs.
The criminal complaint states the woman’s two daughters, then ages 12 and 7, also smelled of dog waste. They also missed a lot of school that year, and were poorly dressed for the weather. Two of the counts are for child neglect.
The competency exam will determine if she is capable of understanding the proceedings and assisting in her own defense.
