NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Northeast Wisconsin, ThedaCare says it is heightening its visitor restrictions.
Effective immediately, the following restrictions are in place at ThedaCare facilities to minimize further spread:
No visitors for COVID positive and non-COVID patients except limited, approved, pre-arranged visitation for end of life. Those situations will pre-arranged through care teams.
No visitors allowed for any other patients.
One parent/guardian is allowed to accompany a minor or a patient with a medical need (intellectual and/or developmental disability or cognitive impairment).
Patients presenting for outpatient care in a hospital or clinic setting are allowed to enter with their minor children, if no alternative.
Children must be masked at all times.
The following restrictions will be applied at ThedaCare Hospitals, Clinics and Surgery Centers:
No visitors for COVID positive and non-COVID patients except limited, approved, pre-arranged visitation for end of life. Those situations will pre-arranged through care teams.
Anyone under the age of 16 is restricted from visiting, except under extreme circumstances.
For Family Birth Care, visitors will be strictly limited to one essential person throughout the entire stay. No children are allowed.
Visitors who are coughing or showing signs of illness will be asked to leave the facility.
Additional restrictions may be imposed based on the clinical status of the patient or provider judgment.
The following restrictions will be applied at ThedaCare Emergency Departments:
Only one parent/guardian allowed to accompany minor or patient with medical need (intellectual and/or developmental disability or cognitive impairment).
Visitors should speak with the patient’s clinical team if the patient requires additional assistance.
The following restrictions will be applied at the Regional Cancer Center:
To allow for patients to have loved ones with them during consultation and follow-up visits at the Regional Cancer Center:
If approved, patient can bring one essential visitor for clinic visit with provider.
No visitors are allowed for scheduled radiation and/or chemotherapy infusion visits.
If medically necessary (because of intellectual and /or developmental disability or cognitive impairment), one visitor is allowed with patient for radiation therapy or infusion visits. This must be approved by care teams.
ThedaCare understands exceptions may need to be made on a case-by-case basis.
All ThedaCare locations will be screening and requiring masks for approved visitors, contractors, and vendors at our entrances.
Masks must be worn throughout the entire visit at ThedaCare.
