GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The man police say stabbed a Green Bay police officer following a dramatic police pursuit after the discovery of a double murder on Tuesday has been identified and charged.
Oscar Lemus-Franco, 28, faces four felonies and one misdemeanor, including 1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Mayhem, Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer and Resisting or Obstruction an Officer, according to Wisconsin Circuit Court Access.
Police arrested Lemus-Franco following a dramatic car chase that reached speeds of up to 95 miles per hour before ending in downtown Green Bay on Tuesday night.
He has not been charged in the double murder. Police said earlier this week that the suspect was related to his victims.
Lemus-Franco remains hospitalized in suburban Milwaukee following a self-inflicted cut to the wrist.
