GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A suspect in a drive-by shooting was convicted Monday of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Angel Vazquez, 18, will be sentenced Nov. 12, after entering the no contest plea.
Two other teens are also charged for the July 11, 2019, incident on Green Bay’s west side. Alejandro Hernandez, 18, has a plea hearing Friday, while Joan Zavaleta, 18, returns to court Oct. 12 for a plea hearing.
The three were arrested on the Mason Street Bridge following the shooting near the intersection of Biemeret and 14th streets. Police said 10-15 shots were fired in the incident. The suspects were found because one of the people in the area shot their vehicle with a paintball, which allowed officers to find the vehicle. No one was hurt in the shooting.
The mother of the boy who shot the paintball told FOX 11 the shooting stemmed from a fight over a 17-year-old girl.
