GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Hundreds of boats took part in a parade along the Fox River Sunday afternoon in Green Bay, to show their support for President Donald Trump.
Supporters cruised from the Bay of Green Bay, through the Port of Green Bay, up the river to De Pere.
The boats could be seen decked out with Trump campaign flags, signs and American flags. Some passengers even dressed up like Trump.
The event was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but the Republican Party of Brown County, which organized the event, postponed the event to Sunday afternoon, due to “inclement weather.”
During the parade, the Walnut St. Bridge and the Ray Nitschke Bridge were temporarily raised to let the boaters pass through.
A large freight ship also passed through, which caused local officials to tell participants to stay away from the freighter.
There have been similar boat parades organized by supporters of President Trump nationwide.
