GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A judge said Friday he will accept a plea deal in a case involving a former high school staff member accused of having sex with a student.
Courtney Roznowski, 32, is charged with three counts of sexual assault of a student by a staff member, and two counts of exposing intimate parts to a child.
At a hearing last month, Brown County Judge Donald Zuidmulder rejected a plea deal calling for dropping the sexual assault by a staff member counts – the most serious charges – while she would plead to one of the two exposure counts.
However, after the state explained her contract at Green Bay Southwest High School ended before the sexual contact took place, so it couldn’t prove she was a school employee, the judge said Friday he will accept changes.
