KIMBERLY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – COVID-19 cases have been confirmed at Kimberly High School and Hemlock Creek Elementary School in De Pere.
In a letter sent to parents, Kimberly High School Principal Jackie DePeau says there has been one confirmed case at the school.
The letter says if parents have not received a call from the school, the district’s health services has determined their child was not a close school contact and may remain at school.
The letter also says the local health department has been notified of the positive case and will conduct an independent investigation.
The department will contact parents directly if it feels students should quarantine.
Hemlock Creek Elementary School also reached out to parents about a positive case.
School officials are working to identify, notify and quarantine any students or staff impacted.
They are also cleaning and disinfecting the school.
Parents are encouraged to monitor their children for COVID-19 symptoms and should keep their children home if symptoms are seen.
