BONDUEL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Bonduel School District is reopening for five days a week.
District superintendent Joe Dawidziak tells FOX 11 the decision lines up with what most parents said they wanted when they filled out a survey.
“The survey results came back overwhelmingly that they wanted a traditional start to the school year regardless of circumstance. We had roughly 86 per cent of our parents say they want a traditional start, and that’s what they chose for their kids.”
Although the district will be in school five days a week, time spent in the classroom will be shorter.
Students will have 34 minutes less in the classroom to allow deep cleaning of the school.
Dawidziak doesn’t have a date set to re-evaluate the district’s plans.
District leaders say they’ll work with parents throughout the school year.
