WAUSHARA COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Sturgeon Bay man died and two others were injured when a semi truck crashed into a SUV in Waushara County.
It happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 21 at County Highway V near Coloma.
Wisconsin State Patrol says a semi was traveling south on County Highway V when it never slowed and continued through the stop sign at the intersection of County Highway V and State Highway 21. That’s when it crashed into an eastbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 65-year-old man from Sturgeon Bay, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the SUV, a 63-year-old woman from Sturgeon Bay, was flown to UW-Madison hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi truck, a 34-year-old man from Bloomington, Illinois, was also flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
