FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) — The five-year-old boy killed in a Tuesday evening accident in Fond du Lac has been identified.
Police say Jayden Kaufman was hit by a 2002 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck driven by a 20-year-old Fond du Lac man while Kaufman was sitting down and playing in the parking lot north of the boat launch area at Lakeside Park West.
Kaufman was transported to St. Agnes Hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation into this incident indicates that Jayden was with his mother while she was meeting with friends at Lakeside Park West in a parking lot north of the boat launch area.
The accident remains under investigation.
