GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay police are seeking a suspect in connection with a shots fired incident on the city’s easy side that led to a SWAT team raid at a Jean Street home.
Police are searching for 32 year old Daniel S. Garrett, who they say fired shots in the 2200 block of Imperial Lane at around 6:15 am Friday morning.
Garrett is a white male with distinctive facial tattoos.
An area near Jean and Schoen Streets across from Eisenhower Park was cordoned off by police Friday morning as SWAT teams were deployed. The area reopened to traffic around 11:45 A.M.
Police deployed an armored SWAT truck to the scene, which appeared to be centered around a house in that neighborhood. Police attached a ram to the front of the truck to push the front door open, then used a flashbang-type device. Remote devices were then sent into the home before about ten SWAT officers entered. Investigators continue to comb through the scene, but Garrett did not appear to be inside.
Neighbors called it an unusual and scary situation for their neighborhood.
