GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The COVID-19 numbers in Wisconsin are seeing an uptick again after weeks of downturn.
Prevea CEO Dr. Ashok Rai says that while some of the case growth is due to the amount of testing, going up, too, is the percentage of people testing positive per day.
“We’re starting to see a increase in the percentage of cases so at 1.you know we were very focused on negative trend line now we have a positive trend line.
“We’re starting to see a increase in the percentage of cases, so at one point, you know, we were very focused on a negative trend line,” Rai told WTAQ’s ‘The Morning News with Matt and Earl’. “Now we have a positive trend line.”
The percentage positive rate and case growth has ticked up over the past week or so in Wisconsin. In Brown County, more testing demand is driving the opening of new testing sites.
Rai says that demand is due to more people showing symptoms, as testing is only available to those showing at least one symptom of COVID-19.
