OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – UW-Oshkosh says it’s moving forward with reopening its campuses for the fall semester.
The UWO Recovery Task Force put forward its ‘Titans Return’ plan.
It was approved by leadership and helps create safe conditions to welcome back students, faculty and staff.
The plan starts on-campus classes on Sept. 9.
Some highlights of the plan include:
- Students, faculty and staff will be required to wear masks.
- UW-Oshkosh will manage COVID-19 cases as they arise and provide preventative health screening options for students and employees.
- Classrooms and other spaces will be rearranged to promote safety.
- There will be greater reliance on online and alternative-delivery courses even though on-campus learning returns. In September, UW-Oshkosh will have in-person instruction guided by safety protocols and online courses for large classes.
- Students will be living in residence halls. Dining halls will be open. The plan has built-in flexibility that gives students options, but with options will also come new practices.
