GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A summer tradition in Northeast Wisconsin plans to return later this month, with some changes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Bay Beach Amusement Park says it will have a “soft opening” June 20 and 21, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The park will be limited to 500 people each day. Those wishing to visit will need to buy wristbands beforehand. More information is expected to be released on Friday.
Below is the statement the Green Bay Parks Department posted on its Facebook Page today:
We are getting close to opening! June 20th and June 21st (hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm) will be a soft opening. We will be limiting capacity to 500 guests each day. Wristbands will need to be purchased in order to be in the park. More information will be coming on Friday, June 12th as to how this will look.
We will be closed June 22nd – June 25th to make adjustments to our Covid-19 Preparedness Plan. This plan will also be available on June 12th, so you can prepare for your visit to Bay Beach Amusement Park.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with the changes that have to be made in order for us to be open.
Bay Beach announced in April that its opening day would be delayed.
