MADISON, WI (WTAQ)– The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported a relatively small increase in cases after reporting the most positive cases in a single day over the weekend.
There have now been 12,687 positive COVID-19 cases in the state. That’s an additional 144 positive cases since Sunday.
The total negative results is 144,502. That’s 4,828 more negative results from Sunday.
The daily percent-positive plummeted from Sunday to Monday. It was sitting at 6.1% on Sunday, and fell to just 2.9% on Monday. That percentage is calculated with the daily number of positive tests versus the total number of tests. It was also a key statistic in the state’s Badger Bounce Back plan.
An additional six people have died, bringing the state’s total to 459.
