(WTAQ) — There are now 2,578 cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus confirmed in the state of Wisconsin.
That number was confirmed Tuesday afternoon by state health officials, who also announced a total of 92 deaths and 745 hospitalizations, or 29% of all cases.
Brown County officials confirmed 46 cases on Tuesday, slightly higher than the state data, which lists the county at 41. Brown County Health Department spokesman Ted Shove told reporters that there are three new cases in the county. He added that officials had actually miscounted numbers released Monday, adding two cases erroneously to Monday’s total of 45.
The new cases in Brown County range in age between 40 and 60. Two people are said to have recovered.
“Although we have not specifically defined that, they are basically without symptoms,” Shove said Tuesday. “These two were originally hospitalized, they have since been discharged.”
Recovery numbers aren’t formally tracked due to a lack of clarity on how to define recovery.
