OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman who was upset with the father of her children was placed on probation for three years for setting his garage on fire.
Cassandra Choy, 27, was convicted of three counts of criminal damage to property. She was sentenced Feb. 10, court records show.
According to the criminal complaint, Choy and Hugo Esparza have two children together. They argued the morning of May 12 and she left. She later called Esparza to tell him she set the garage on fire. After initially denying she set the fire, Choy admitted she set a box in the garage on fire, the complaint states.
Other units besides the one belonging to Esparza were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
