TOWN OF FREEDOM, WT (WTAQ) – A Town of Freedom official confirmed the vote to build a new fire and EMS facility passed 337-265 Wednesday night.
The $3.9 million project would be constructed on land near Schmit Rd. and Highway E.
The town was able to bring the cost estimate down from $5.37 million.
Annual taxes are projected to rise $48 per $100,000 of assessed property value in order to fund construction.
The Town of Freedom’s board still has to give final approval for the project.
