GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Wisconsin Public service received reports of fraudulent calls on Friday.
Just after 10 a.m. businesses and residents around Oshkosh and Door County received the calls demanding immediate payments. Customers were threatened with being disconnected within 30 minutes if payments were not made.
WPS recommends anyone receiving such a call should hang up immediately and call them. Never provide personal, banking, or account information unless a call is verified.
