SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) – The Kiel and Sheboygan School Districts had some scares to start the 2019-2020 school year.
A teen from Sheboygan is in trouble after an alleged prank involving a threat to Sheboygan South High School over the weekend. What initially appeared to be a threat to the school was noticed by another student who then told his parents, who contacted police.
It was discovered that the 15-year-old wasn’t being serious and took full responsibility. The teen has now been turned over to juvenile authorities for possible charges.
Crews were called to Kiel Middle School Tuesday after smoke was reported in the library. Police say the call came in around 12:30 p.m. The fire alarms were activated for what turned out to be a malfunctioning microwave.
Students were evacuated from the building after faculty followed the emergency plan that was put in place.
