APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Fleet Farm is moving their headquarters to Appleton’s south side.
The company announced on Wednesday that they are buying Secura Insurance’s current headquarters at 2401 S. Memorial Dr.
Secura is building new offices in Fox Crossing and plans to move in October.
“As Secura continues to grow and moves to a different location, it creates an opportunity for another Fox Cities business to expand,” Garth Wicinsky, Secura senior vice president and chief administrative officer, says in a news release. “We’re excited for Fleet Farm to start their next chapter in this great location, and we feel they will continue to be an excellent corporate anchor in the City of Appleton and the neighborhood that has served Secura so well for more than 50 years.”
Fleet Farm’s current headquarters are on S. Lynndale Drive on Appleton’s west side.
“We looked at a lot of locations, including some in other cities and states, and the current Secura location is perfect,” Derick Prelle, Fleet Farm’s CEO, says in a news release. “It allows us to stay in the Appleton area, and the Secura facility answers our needs. It is a perfect size for us, and it has been beautifully maintained.”
About 500 employees will occupy the 192,000-square-foot building, according to Fleet Farm.
The company plans to consolidate operations from six locations and also transfer as many as 70 jobs from its location in Brainerd, Minnesota, to the new headquarters.
Fleet Farm plans to begin moving to the new location after January 1, with all operations consolidated there by the end of March.
