MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – The Manitowoc Police Department is looking for a pair of men after a teenage girl reported that she was told to get inside a vehicle by strangers.
Police say the incident happened this past Saturday, July 6, just before 9:45 p.m. on South 10th Street.
The 14-year-old girl says she was walking home when two Hispanic males inside a metallic colored Mercedes Benz twice attempted to offer her a ride.
According to her, after saying she didn’t want a ride the vehicle did a U-turn and the man inside offered again, this time becoming more aggressive.
At that time, the girl hid behind a house in the area and called a relative.
The driver is being described as Hispanic and in his 20’s.
Additionally, he has a deep voice, full face, short dark hair, and a goatee.
A passenger in the vehicle’s backseat was also a Hispanic male that was wearing a gray t-shirt.
The vehicle is described as a four-door with extreme window tinting and police say the taillights are rectangular and outside the trunk.
Additionally, they say the rims appeared to have thick chrome spokes and a chrome border around the license plate.
It is also described to have a black grille with a front plate.
