GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It was far from perfect attendance for the last day of school throughout the Green Bay area.
According to the Green Bay Area Public School District, attendance was down 6% for elementary and middle schools, compared to a typical Monday.
June 10 was added as the last day of school following seven missed days for various weather incidents — including snow and flooding.
June 10 and 11 were included as “if needed” weather make-up days when the calendar for the year was initially approved.
According to district spokesperson Lori Blakeslee, attendance statistics for the high schools were not compared since seniors are already done and not all students have tests Monday for final exams.
