SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ) – A Seymour Officer is teaming up with members of the Green and Gold to raise money for a family in the community impacted by a tragedy.
Officer John Fuller is hosting a Green Bay Packer autograph session to help raise money for the family of the young girls who died of stab wounds this month. Fuller says he has some connections on the team.
“They told me that they were on board and that they would sign autographs and would get some of the other players on the team to do it as well.”
A $20 dollar minimum donation will be requested. It will help support the family of four-year Mattelin Samson and three-month-old Hailey Poppe.
“We want to get as many people through as possible so we encourage people to get there early.”
Officer Fuller says the news has shaken up the community.
“It is felt by everyone. Everybody is hurt in some way from the events.”
Fuller expects the money can be used for additional and upcoming costs the family has. “They still have funeral costs that they need to cover and the remaining family members will likely either sell that house or do a complete remodel to get rid of the bad memories that come with that house, and they will cost money.” Packer players participating include Kyler Fackrell, Montravius Adams, Kenny Clark, Dean Lowry, Reggie Gilbert, and Tyler Lancaster.
The signings will take place Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Seymour City Hall.
