GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Green Bay Police Department says what was originally said to be an abduction ended as a civil custody issue between parents.
The department says on Saturday, a little after 5 p.m., a grandfather called police saying his 18-month-old granddaughter was abducted by her father.
Officers found the father’s vehicle and stopped him near Hinkle St. and W. Mason St. Frontage Road.
Police say the 18-month-old girl was not hurt and found safe inside the vehicle.
Police went on to say the incident was not an abduction and will be handled as a civil custody issue between parents.
