APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton police continue investigating the death of a woman on the city’s south side.
Police also say her vehicle was found in Kentucky — and the driver is being held on a probation hold.
Officers were called Thursday afternoon to check on the welfare of a woman. Eventually, they found her body early Friday at an apartment on Valley Road.
The cause of death is not known. An autopsy is set for Monday.
Meanwhile, police say during their investigation they discovered the woman’s vehicle missing.
Officers entered the vehicle into a national crime database. They were notified around 11 a.m. Friday that law enforcement officers in Kentucky found the vehicle and arrested the driver.
