FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – Fond Du Lac Police say a man was injured in a shooting this morning.
It happened around 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Western Avenue.
Police say a 41-year-old man was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Captain Aaron Goldstein of Fond du Lac Police says both police and fire responded at the scene.
“The 41-year-old male was transported to the emergency department with non-life threatening injuries,” says Goldstein. “He did receive a gunshot wound to his right leg.”
A 56-year-old woman was arrested.
Captain Aaron Goldstein explains that the two individuals knew each other, but their history is brief.
“They are fairly new acquaintances,” said Goldstein. “So non-domestic related, more in the category of new friends.”
No other information is being released at this time.
