GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Police Department is investigating two overnight incidents.
Officers responded to shots fired on the 400 block of Quincy Street. Police Captain Kevin Warych says the officers were in the area, responding to an unrelated incident when they heard gunshots.
“When those officers went to the area of where they heard the gunshots, they located a residence that had damage consistent with bullet holes.
Warych says they set up a perimeter around that residence, but the suspects had already fled the area.
“At the time, officers got limited corporation from the people, but eventually they were able to get some information.”
He says the investigation is also looking into if this shooting incident is connected to other shooting incidents that remain unsolved.
“The investigation will be looking to see if there are any patterns between these shootings.”
No injuries were reported related to this incident.
Also, the P-D is investigating an armed robbery.
At approximately 1:30 am, Green Bay Police responded to the report of an armed robbery that occurred at this location.
That happened at the Grand Central Station at East Mason and Bellevue Street.
No one hurt in that incident.
“When officers arrived on the scene, they observed a truck leave the scene at a high rate of speed.”
Officers pursued this vehicle on Main Street before it turned off into a residential neighborhood.
Warych says the officers lost the vehicle but were able to find the vehicle after it crashed.
Officers checking the area located the truck which had crashed into the front porch of a residence approximately 3 blocks from Main Street.
“Investigators are really trying to backtrack the vehicle that fled the area.”
A suspect, described as a white male, fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Minor structural damage occurred at the residence but there were no injuries reported.
