APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – It was all about food and community building at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Appleton Sunday.
The 46th annual International Food Fair featured nine different booths run by parents and volunteers.
Classes prepared the food, there was a book sale and students help run some of the events. Some of the dishes included German, Asian and American food.
More than 100 volunteers helped make the event happen.
Bob Biebel, Xavier Catholic Schools vice-president for advancement, tells FOX 11 some volunteers have been helping for years.
“They really commit to making this event wonderful. And they do it year after year. They pass it down from one generation to the next, from family to family. It’s just an amazing outpouring of community support.
The event helps raise money for the schools.
Organizers say it takes about a year to plan it all.
