MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – Steven Avery’s attorney is again asking a Sheboygan County judge to reconsider an October decision to deny him a new trial.
Attorney Kathleen Zellner says several motions have gone unanswered by the court, with Thursday’s motion being the last effort.
The motion again identifies Bobby Dassey as a reasonable suspect and suggests a further investigation should have been launched into Scott Tadych.
It also states that Avery’s trial lawyers were ineffective.
Zellner says a notice of appeal will be filed Friday.
Avery is serving a life sentence for the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.
