GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A Monday ribbon-cutting ceremony for a local school’s newest college.
NWTC has dedicated the new business college at its Green Bay campus.
The facility allows NWTC to expand its information technology program, while adding video production and culinary arts programs.
Funds to renovate the current building and make an expansion came from a successful 2015 referendum.
College of Business Dean Randy Smith says they were always looking at the long-term picture.
“We need room for more students. And really, we’re looking 20 years out that this referendum really addressed. So we’re looking at adding the capacity to meet that skilled worker shortage.”
The business college is expected to serve more than 6-thousand students.
