GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The NFL has suspended Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan two games for a violation of player safety rules.
Trevathan was flagged for a helmet to helmet penalty in the third quarter of Thursday night’s game for a hit that took Packers receiver Davante Adams out of the game and sent him to the hospital.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Adams was at home and doing well.
Trevathan will be eligible to return to the Bears active roster October 16th following the team’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
