GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Officials say one person is dead after being shot in Grand Chute Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of the Grand Chute Police Department, Appleton Police Sgt. Dave Lund says officers were called to the 600 block of Olson Avenue in Grand Chute.
Lund goes on to say when officials arrived on scene they found a person dead in the driveway of a home.
Outagamie County jail records indicate two arrests have been made which may be related to the Sunday shooting.
A 19-year-old Appleton man was booked into the jail on counts of first-degree intentional homicide, and manufacture of THC.
A 17-year-old Appleton man was booked into the jail on counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and manufacture of THC.
No formal charges have been filed against either man.
According to Grand Chute PD, police learned the two men and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical.
Investigators continue to look into incidents leading up to the shooting and will provide more information at a later time.
