RIPON, WI (WTAQ) – Smoking materials on a second story balcony are being blamed for a fire that has displaced 14 residents of a Ripon apartment complex.
The blaze happened around 5 pm Monday at the Valley Crest Apartments on Douglas Street.
One person was injured and treated at the scene.
Fire Chief Tim Saul says eight of the building’s 16 units were damaged to some extent.
No word on the total cost of the damage.
