APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ home is getting a new energy source.
Eland Electric has begun the process of installing 88 solar panels at Fox Cities Stadium.
Project Manager Jesse Michalski says “this solar system will supply energy to their existing electrical distribution system, so it will offset the kilowatt hours that they have to consume from the utility company.”
Team officials expect the move will save them roughly $4,000 per year.
The project is scheduled to wrap up by August 18.
