APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A 43-year-old Neenah woman was taken to the hospital with ‘significant’ injuries after being struck by a vehicle in an Appleton cemetery.
Appleton Police says it happened at Riverview Cemetery, 714 North Owaissa Street, around 8 pm Monday.
Investigators say the woman was hit by a car, sought treatment at a local hospital, and was later released.
Her recollection of the incident is minimal due to the injuries sustained.
Investigators believe she was alone in the cemetery, and there have been no calls from witnesses.
The only information at this time is that the potential suspect vehicle, likely a passenger car, may have contained a young couple.
WTAQ contacted Appleton Police, but they have declined to speak to us regarding the matter.
Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call Sergeant Matt Ollwerther at 920-832-5500.
