DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – The official start of summer is about to happen in the Green Bay area with Celebrate De Pere kicking off the Memorial Day weekend.
The popular festival is in its 27th year and goes from Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29 and takes place in Voyageur Park.
There will be plenty of activities to enjoy for all ages including carnival rides, fun foods, classic car show, fireworks and much more.
Celebrate De Pere President, Bob Tease, explains two musical acts you won’t want miss.
“On Saturday night we have Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and on Sunday night we have Sawyer Brown, a real high energy act, country orientated.”
Tickets are $10 at the door and free for veterans.
The Festival Foods Fireworks show are Sunday night and will kick off around 9 p.m.
Monday morning the parade starts at 10 a.m.
“It’s starts in West De Pere and comes all the way over to East De Pere and one thing to remember is that this event actually showcases our veterans,” said Tease.
