GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Fans at the Titletown Tap room in downtown Green Bay went into Sunday’s NFC Championship game confident in what the Packers could do.
Fans liked the way Aaron Rodgers was connecting with his receivers and they were glad to see Jordy Nelson back on the field making plays.
But unfortunately there were too many miscues, and fans placed some blame on the defense for not being able to hold the Falcons in check.
But the fans speaking to WLUK remain proud of the team, and believe they’ll come back better next year.
“It’s hard not to look forward to next year, we finished the season on such a strong note obviously this isn’t the way you want to end a season but we were 4 and 6 at one point to get to where we are today is a huge accomplishment in itself,” said Bradley Zastrow.
“I think we have a lot to look forward to I mean they made it to the NFC Championship gram so I think we have a lot to look forward to next year. I’m excited,” said Cole Nygard.
“I think we come back healthier, stronger I think were going to do great next season Really looking forward to it,” said Colton Weisner.
Even when the Packers were down 24 to nothing at half time, plenty of Packers fans believed the team could come back but it just wasn’t meant to be.
