Donald Trump quickly attacked Hillary Clinton's claim that she had “short-circuited” during a Fox News Sunday interview.
Clinton told Fox News that James Comey said she was “truthful” about her email server. After multiple factcheckers reported Comey was only referring to her FBI interview, Clinton said, “I may have short-circuited.”
Trump has been relentless in his criticism of Clinton's comment, calling her a “pathological liar”.
“She's really pretty close to unhinged,” Trump said.
During an appearance on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos, commentator Cokie Roberts said Trump's use of “unhinged” is sexist.
“The emphasis on 'unhinged' and 'she doesn’t look presidential' is totally code for we shouldn’t elect a woman,” Roberts said.
I'm constantly mystified as to how hacks, like Roberts, can peddle such lies without choking on their words.
The sad part is that Roberts really believes it.
Now that's unhinged.
