NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – An armed robbery at a Neenah convenience store Friday morning has police investigating.
Police say it happened at the Citgo on the corner of Green Bay Road and Main Street at 6:20 a.m.
According to a news release, the suspect entered the business, showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black man with a stocky build.
Police believe that this robbery is related to a string of similar armed robberies in the area:
- May 26 at the BP station, 899 S. Commercial Street in Neenah
- June 2 at the BP station, Highway BB in the Village of Fox Crossing
- June 2 at the BP station, Highway O in the Town of Neenah
- June 3 at the BP station, 899 S. Commercial Street in Neenah
- June 8 at the BP station, Highway BB in the Village of Fox Crossing
Armed robberies in the Fox Cities are relatively rare, so the concentration of these robberies suggest they are related, according to police.
