WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities are investigating a pair of armed robberies overnight in Winnebago County.
Police in Fox Crossing say one took place just after 10 p.m. at the BB Convenience Center, 2675 American Drive. A masked robber walked into the store with a handgun and took some cash.
The suspect ran away and while a police dog was used to search the area, officers could not locate the robber. Some items taken from the store were found.
Police describe the suspect as a 5’11” to 6’0″ tall man, possibly black, with a skinny build. He was wearing all black with a black cloth mask.
Then a second armed robbery took place around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Highways II and O in the Town of Neenah. Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies say a man with baggy clothes showed a silver handgun and stole some blue money bags.
It is unknown whether the robberies are related.
