ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – A Delta plane made an emergency landing at Austin Straubel International Airport Tuesday afternoon.
Passengers were safely taken off of that plane, which was going from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Minneapolis.
According to a statement released by a Delta spokesperson:
“Delta flight 2841, en route this afternoon to Minneapolis from Grand Rapids, Mich., diverted to Green Bay, Wis., after the crew noted a smoky odor during flight. The aircraft landed safely and passengers deplaned normally. The 131 customers on board are now being served food and beverages in the terminal while maintenance evaluates the aircraft. The safety and security of Delta’s customers and employees is always our top priority.“
It’s unknown what caused the smoky odor on the plane.
